This motion capture system is composed by infra-red cameras, capable to track the position of passive/active markers attached over a structure. It allows non-contact measurements, also the shape and motion reconstruction in real time in proper sample rate for experimental tests for aeroelastic studies.
OptiTrack systems offer the world’s leading blend of measurement accuracy and simple, easy-to-use workflows which provide researchers and biomechanists with ideal 3D tracking data for their studies.[1]
At A2SRL, this system is used to track the structural dynamics and deformed shape of flexible and very flexible aero structures. It is an important tool for non-contact measurements of rigid and flexible body motion, and provides the capability of dynamic reconstruction, time and frequency response of points over the structure surface.
