OptiTrack Motion Capture System

This motion capture system is composed by infra-red cameras, capable to track the position of passive/active markers attached over a structure. It allows non-contact measurements, also the shape and motion reconstruction in real time in proper sample rate for experimental tests for aeroelastic studies.

At A2SRL, this system is used to track the structural dynamics and deformed shape of flexible and very flexible aero structures. It is an important tool for non-contact measurements of rigid and flexible body motion, and provides the capability of dynamic reconstruction, time and frequency response of points over the structure surface.
